George Washington takes Pink Quad Meet, Zois Wins AA

GWU's Alex Zois took the All Around with 39.3 at the Feb. 8 Pink Meet, also winning FX with a 9.9. William & Mary's Caroline Caponi was second AA with 38.6, with New Hampshire's Danielle Mulligan third at 36.75

Host George Washington University emerged victorious at the “Pink Meet” quad competition held Friday, February 8 at the Smith Center in downtown Washington, DC. [This is the first NCAA meet I’ve been able to make this season (and Friday traffic & construction kept me from arriving until 2/3 of the way through the second rotation.] New Hampshire took second with a team score of 194.9250, nearly a full point ahead of third place Yale, with William & Mary fourth at 189.925.

Alex Zois of GWU posted a personal best on Floor with a 9.9 to cap a good evening by taking the All Around.

Alex Zois took the All Around with a score of 39.3, also winning FX posting a 9.9. The fifth-year co-captain was second on Vault & third on UB, her poorest placing being sixth on BB. Second AA went to the Tribe’s Caroline Caponi with a 38.6, while New Hampshire’s Danielle Milligan’s 38.45 earned her AA third, & W&M’s Taylor White was fourth at 36.75.
